BBC website about the marriage ceremonies in the Church of England and the Roman Catholic churches.
Explaining Christian marriage A rather long study on the
parts of the wedding service and what each bit means. The site is very user friendly and you can find out as much or as little as you require.
Civil Partnerships This is a very comprehensive site. It provides information on all the major issues
concerned with civil partnership, eg ceremonies, tax rules, anonymity, comparison with civil marriages etc.
How Christian react to civil partnerships
In reality it depends which part of the church you look at. Some Christians totally disapprove
because the union is not biblical and not in accordance with traditional church teaching.
Others with a more liberal background welcome the civil partnerships or civil marriage,
because it embraces the spirit of Christ's attitude rather than the letter of Old Testament teaching
and what Jesus actually said 20000 years ago.

Divorce and the law This is a government website which
explains the stages of divorce and under what circumstances a divorce could be granted. It is sound reliable information.
Church of England on divorce This is not brilliant
it gives the essentials and some useful links, but doesn't spell out the pastoral approach adopted by many churches. (CofE Church Website)
Church of England on divorce and remarriage Again not a stunning contribution by the C of E
website. It does explain where the responsibiliity for conducting a second marriage lies, but says little about the popular
option of Blessing of a Civil Marriage.
Roman Catholic view of divorce Once you get past the pop-ups this page is a good start. It explains that
vlid marriages are for life and it mentions annulment.
Divorce and the Roman Catholic Church This looks like heavy going, but it is sound
and is one of the few documents that mentions dissolution of the marriage.
Divorce This is a BBC website on the subject. It deals with
divorce in most denominations. At the bottom of the page it includes Methodist, Baptists and Church of Scotland.
Christianity and sexual relationships This is quite a good
article inasmuch as it explains the meaning of key terms. It is fairly biblical based teaching though.
Christian views on contraception This is a good site and the
reaction of each denomination is well explained.
Catholics on contraception
A good website from the BBC. It shows exactly what Roman Catholics believe and it has some liks to Humanae Vitae.
