Anti Semitism

Apartheid South Africa

Apartheid Good on Apartheid. Superb links to every major character imaginable. Not always presented in readable form, but a tremendous resource.

Nelson Mandela A link to the BBC news story of 1964 when Nelson Mandela was "jailed for life for sabotage."

Nelson Mandela A more recent BBC story on the South African statesman. Despite many years in jail, Mandela emerged to become South Africa's first black president.

Mandela Biography This is a useful biographical passage - with photographs.

Steve Biko A noted anti-apartheid activist in South Africa in the 1960s. He died in his prison cell in 1977.

Steve Biko Another source of information on this founder and martyr of the Black Consciousness movement in South Africa.

Trevor Huddleston A member of the Community of the Resurrection at Mirfield, who did much to alert the world to the horrors of Apartheid. Expelled from South Africa because of his views by the South African Government of his day.

Martin Luther King Jnr This is a very large, very comprehensive site on Martin Luther King Jnr. Speeches, quotations, comments, links etc.

Martin Luther King Jnr This is the BBC site on historic figures. The article is only one page in length, but is a good introduction to the man.

Women's rights A lot of useful information here on the struggle for equality. A good place to start looking for information.
